SPORTS UPDATE: The Adamson Lady Falcons' rookie captain, Shaina Nitura, officially bags the Rookie of the Year award for UAAP Season 87 Women's Volleyball Division.

The UAAP decision, which deemed to be a 'no-brainer,' came after Nitura shattering several records, including the highest scoring season across all divisions, with 371 points on a 34.56 percent success rate in attacks.

The rookie captain received her award today, May 14, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum before the Game 2 Finals matchup between the NU Bulldogs and DLSU Lady Spikers.
