WATCH: The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Aug. 29 said the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” may still affect parts of Luzon and Visayas.

However, PAGASA Weather Specialist Benison Estareja said the habagat rains may be less intense than the previous day.

In the next 24 hours, occasional rains may affect Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan, while scattered rains and thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
